fotoskiasis is an architectural lighting design studio based in Athens. For over three decades we have created the lighting of hotels, restaurants, bars and residences across Greece — complete lighting studies, proven in 3D before a single fixture is installed.
The Studio
From theatre stages to the most photographed restaurants in Athens.
fotoskiasis took its first steps in 1990, designing theatrical lighting alongside leading names of the Greek and international music scene. The passion for setting colour on stages was the reason to expand into architecture — pioneering architectural lighting design in Greece at a time when the discipline barely existed here.
Three decades later, we deliver complete lighting studies for restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés, tourist resorts and private residences across Greece — supported by photoreal 3D lighting designs so the result is approved on screen, not hoped for on site.

A custom fibre-optic star ceiling and layered ambient scheme lets the floodlit Acropolis remain the centrepiece of the view, while the dining room glows just enough to feel intimate, refined and unmistakably Athenian.
